Miami Beach Edition
To put it simply, The Miami Beach Edition is raising the bar of relaxation, class, and taste when it comes to beachside hospitality. After spending two memorable weekends at this brand new luxury hotel I immediately came to appreciate the ultra chill and tranquil vibe that radiates all around you at The Edition. From the laid back Caribbean tunes floating through the air at the perfect, just about audible volume, to the sprawling outdoor property where it is easy to find your own private nook and get lost in the blue skies and lush palm. Inside the hotel unique entertainment and delicious food awaits, the basement is home to an ice skating rink and bowling alley, two things that cannot be found anywhere else on Collins Avenue. And then we have Market, my new favorite restaurant in Miami, with a menu as light and fresh or down right delicious as you want it to be.
The Edition says it best, "Every aspect of the traditional beach hotel has been re-imagined for the needs and desires of a new generation." I believe they are speaking of a group of people that do not have a singular focus of chugging drinks and listening to electronic music—and there is definitely a place for that, it's called LIV—this is a clientele that knows themselves and are comfortable in their own skin . . . they have real interests. In this way The Edition has mastered the art of subtlety, opting away from the typical Miami "scene" for a elevated level of class and authentic ambiance that is not trying, it just is. And it feels right.
