Hosier Lane in Melbourne was one of the grittiest spot I stumbled upon during my two week long Australian adventure. It reminded me of home and was quite Un-Australian, at least from what I experienced up to that point and everything after. Australia as a whole is extremely clean, safe and just nice. No guns, no drugs, no bullying in schools, breathalyzers all day everyday, pump before you pay, speeding results in an automatic revoked license, top news = what Miranda Kerr's mom ate for lunch, minimum wage is $30 dollars an hour, at first its confusing and someone disorienting, you feel like you're in the twilight zone. That's Australia. It's a wonderful, feel good place. I was thrilled to finally see where my Grandmother Rita was born and raised.
