Trend Report: Head to Toe Floral

Whenever I hear the word 'floral' in any context I will forever be reminded of Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada. Why no, florals are not groundbreaking, however they are something to look forward to. It's actually quite hard to think of anything else due to the fact that half of the world has been in an ice box from October to March. Here in New York any sign of green life can magically bring us out of seasonal depression. Therefore I will always welcome florals at any time of year, including Winter! Just yesterday I wore a head-to-toe Gucci (white!) floral pajama set to an evening of holiday events, both unexpected and fresh for the festive season.

This season we're taking it all the way with head to toe floral prints. From giant digital printed dresses to beautiful brocade suits. We could count on Dolce & Gabbana to showcase elaborate headpieces and accessories with their flower printed dresses. Fendi kept the color palate light and airy and the fabrics luxurious. Models looked extremely doll-like with glitter lips and cheeky silhouettes. Chloe sent flowy vintage inspired florals down the runway. Christopher Kane stayed close to his roots and kept things fun and youthful. While the apple didn't fall far from the tree, florals are a constant in the industry so many of use look forward to seeing. So yes, while florals may not be groundbreaking, they certainly are necessary.
